Voice notes in approval workflows
Approvers can now leave voice feedback that is automatically transcribed and attached to the draft timeline.
By Public Pulse
Approval workflows just got faster. Starting today, approvers can record voice notes directly in the approval panel. Each recording is automatically transcribed using Whisper and attached to the draft timeline alongside written comments.
Why voice?
Chiefs of Staff and senior advisors often review drafts between meetings, in the car, or on the move. Typing detailed feedback on a phone is slow. Voice notes let them give nuanced direction in seconds. The transcription ensures nothing is lost, and staff can read the feedback at their desk.
How it works
In the approval panel, click the microphone icon to start recording. Speak your feedback, click stop, and Pulse transcribes it in real time. The voice note and transcript are both saved to the draft timeline. Staff see the transcript inline and can play back the original audio for tone and emphasis.
